Big Sandy Community and Technical College

Community Services

[a young man opens a large reference style book in a series of book stacks]Community members can use the library's resources, including applying for a library card and interlibrary loan services.   The library is a place to:

  • read popular titles
  • access the internet
  • print

If you are a community member, please identify yourself to the library or ACE staff, and we will begin the process of getting you signed in.

Community patrons may be asked to leave a computer lab during course instruction or when the library closes for BSCTC students.  Some services, like Pantry Bags, are restricted to students and very recent graduates.

Service Agreements with Other Colleges

The library maintains service agreements for student access to computers and printing with the following schools:

  • Eastern Kentucky University
  • Morehead State University
  • Lindsey-Wilson College

While these agreements are in place, the library schedules and hours serve the academic calendar of Big Sandy CTC.   Students at these schools can use the library and the buildings, including requesting a personal login for the KCTCS network (ask a librarian how).  Students can study within the library, take online courses and submit work through their college or university's course management system, and use the library's resources for research.
