CHOOSE A TOPIC

Digital Forensics.  In this topic you will need to discuss a new technology and new devices.  With changes in technology, digital forensics must change in order to meet the challenges.  An example of this would be using computer files to transfer child pornography via email and text.  What are the challenges facing small departments as it relates to these changes? 

Active Shooter.  In this topic you will need to discuss the response to public events such as concerts/protests as it relates to active shooters.  How does this new challenge effect smaller police forces?

Getting Hired.   Today's job market is different.  How do you approach getting that first criminal justice position? Is it more difficult today to break into the field? 

• Three sources are required. Paper must include a MLA formatted Works Cited Page. All sources on the works cited page must be academically acceptable sources.
• In the text of the essay, student must refer to their research sources/articles.  It MUST be properly documented in the essay and works cited page in MLA format. Proper documentation includes listing the resource in the works cited page and giving the author and page number within the text of the document (Howell 21).  This is an example of giving proper credit. 
• Essay must be 4 pages.
• Essay should be written in third person.

• Heading for paper should include:
  • Student Name
  • Professor's Name
  • English 101
  • Date 13 April 2017
  • Page number and the student's last name should be included in the header on the right hand side top of the page.
