Begin this research project by deciding on your topic. Think about topics that are very familiar to you. It may be something that you do in your everyday life.
Topic Prompts:
Choice 1:
Explain how a certain ritual or ceremony is conducted in your religion. Make sure someone of another faith could understand the process, and include a thesis statement that explains why the ritual is important.
Choice 2:
Think of a process you believe should be modified or discontinued. Formulate a thesis that presents your negative feelings, and then explain the process so that you make your objections clear to your readers.
Choice 3:
Select a process you perform well (for example, making pizza, wrapping gifts, gardening), and describe it so that your reader can learn how to do it. Your essay should discuss why it is important or even simply pleasurable to learn this process.
Now that you have chosen your topic, you will begin by listing all tools and items necessary to complete your process. Make sure to list your steps in chronological order. If you are completing a complex procedure it is important that you give warning where necessary. This is especially true when you are using machinery. Also, make sure that you give your reader a way of knowing that they have completed the process successfully.
MLA style documentation; three to five pages. You must include one credible outside source to substantiate your process analysis.
